Dynamic Content or Dynamic Scripting
Does the new server support dynamic content? For the most part, yes. All of the breakins (hacks) that have occurred were the result of dynamic content that didn't get updated regularly. So, the new server maintainers will try to provide software to you when you ask for it. For instance, if you would like a forum server and/or bulletin board the maintainers will provide the forum software for you and apply security patches and other patches regularly. All you have to do is use the forum server. The same goes for photo gallery and other software.
Can I write my own scripts using PHP, Perl, etc.? Yes, but there are some rules. We are in the process of documenting all of the rules. They will be available soon. Once the rules are available, dynamic content and scripting capabilities will be turned back on at user request.
