Student Organization Web Service
NOTICE
Please visit your control panel before deciding to upload and install any third-party software. Many common software packages are already available for installation with the click of a button. Just visit the Scripts Library in your web site's control panel.
You can get to your control panel by going to your main site's web address and putting "/cpanel" on the end. For example, if your web address is http://mysite.students.mtu.edu, then your control panel is at http://mysite.students.mtu.edu/cpanel.
The student organization service uses web control panel software from cPanel. For more information about cPanel please visit their web site at www.cpanel.com.
A terse summary of some options includes the ability to provide you with a simple to use web interface complete with an HTML editor that you can use in your web browser. You can install and administer your own MySQL database(s) as well as install and administer your own third-party software applications. You can use FrontPage Extensions, set up cron jobs, and much more. You will also have SSH access to your web account for those that would like that type of access.
